Do you own or are you buying an older house? And do you know that you may be eligible for a subsidy for renovation?

The Ministry of the Environment offers several interesting subsidy programmes, which we will look at together here.
In general, these subsidy programs are used to reduce the energy burden of the family home and can be used as follows:

- Home insulation
- Photovoltaic systems
- Heat recovery systems
- Green roof
- Boilers, stoves and pumps
- Solar water heating
- Waste water heat recovery
- Rainwater and wastewater harvesting

The subsidy can be up to 50% of the total cost. In addition, you can get a bonus for building multiple items at once, or a special bonus of 10% of the total subsidy for home repairs in the Karlovy Vary, Moravian-Silesian or Ústí nad Labem regions. In addition, young families will receive up to CZK 50,000 for each dependent child.

Presentation of individual programmes:

1) REPAIRING GRANDMA'S HOUSE
The advance grant is used to renovate older houses owned by the applicant.

Conditions:
- Not owning another property
- The property must be used for permanent housing
- Be economically active (employed, self-employed, working pensioners...)
- Apply as a natural person not in business
- Implementation of optimal insulation (according to Table 3 in the binding guidelines for applicants)

Basic parameters:
- Advance subsidy - you get the money up front and reduce the initial costs of the reconstruction
- Maximum amount of subsidy for insulation CZK 1,000,000
- Subsidy of 50% of the cost
- Possibility to apply for other subsidies see above

2) NEW GREEN SAVINGS STANDARD
Subsidies for homeowners who want to reduce running costs.

Conditions:
- Be an owner, builder or buyer of a new single-family home
- The applicant must remain the owner of the property until the grant decision is made

Basic parameters:
- Subsidy of 50% of the cost paid after the project is completed
- The buyer of a newly built house can also apply for the subsidy
- Possibility to apply for all the points mentioned above

3) NEW GREEN SAVINGS LIGHT
An advance subsidy for seniors and disabled retirees who want to reduce their energy costs.

Conditions:
- Be the owner of a single-family home or a permanently occupied recreational structure
- All members of the applicant's household must be in receipt of a retirement pension, 3rd degree disability pension or in receipt of housing benefit

Basic parameters:
- Advance subsidy - you get the money up front
- Subsidy of 100% of implementation costs up to CZK 150,000
- Possibility to apply for insulation of the facade, roof, floors, replacement of windows or entrance doors, or provision of solar water heating
